Hello and welcome to the Outfitter's Summary report for the year 2007.

The first week started off with a bang, literally! The conditions were not that great in the first week, but then there really isn't anything you can do about the rut. As far as the weather goes though, we overcame it with good scouting and hard work. All our pre-scouting definitely paid off, as the boys for Georgia did well harvesting 5 deer for 7 hunters. As usual things got real spicy in the second week as the rut progressed. Once again the boys went 5 for 7 in week two. The conditions were terrific and there were a lot of deer seen. The hunters had some great opportunites but many deer were missed. I cannot stress enough how important it is to practice your off hand shooting!

In the third week things heated up another notch. Tim Metcalf of Lafayett, Louisiana harvested the biggest buck of the year, a whopping 187 on a main frame 4x4. WOW. Tim had to make a terrific shot to claim this deer. My friend Terry Brown wasn't quite so fortunate... he missed a big buck and passed on a second that put his head in the blind. Terry said something about the deer being too close to shoot (oops, maybe next year).

Overall we had a great year at Trophy Quest and look forward to the 2008 season.
